Many Christians are wondering, what is a Christian supposed to be doing during quarantine? Through all the changes and chaos, God is showing me His commands are the same.
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’Matthew 22:36-39
Right now, some of us are called to be on the front lines, working jobs in healthcare or at grocery stores. Some of us are not on the front lines. We are in our homes to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and we get to love the people in our homes.
Whatever your circumstance, I pray that you would embrace God’s desires for this season: to love Him and to loves others. Maybe that means stepping up in this time of crisis in your job or volunteering. Maybe that means checking up on your friends. Maybe it means sharing a roll of toilet paper with your neighbor. Above all, I pray that you would seize the opportunity to love God with all you have and to pray to Him.
