For a while, I went back and forth wondering if I was making a wise decision to go on staff at the House of Prayer. Ultimately, fear made me feel like I should wait to begin full-time ministry. I think this is why the enemy wants us to fear. It has the ability to stop us in our tracks. Talking with my cousin, I realized that experiencing fear doesn’t mean we’re making a wrong decision. Sometimes fear is simply an indicator of discomfort.
So, the next day I prayed to God. “Lord, this is what I say to fear. You either have to leave or you’re coming with me, because I am going regardless!”
I then began partnership development and God is providing beyond my imagination. Praise Jesus! If you are experiencing fear, Satan may be trying to keep you from pursuing the things God wants to do through you. If you jump in, you may discover that things aren’t so scary after all.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”2 Timothy 1:7
“I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.”Psalm 34:4
